Insurance

Do you take my insurance?

We work with all insurance companies as an out-of-network provider. Thus, we are not limited to seeing only in-network patients. We are a fee-for-service practice and committed to delivering the best dental care we can.

As an out-of-network provider, we are not limited to network downgrading of services or limits of covered benefits often found in dental insurance plans. We are committed to helping patients enjoy a better quality of life by providing the care they are looking for.

Does your office do everything?

Our team is very diverse and capable. We do work with several outstanding specialists in our area.

Every patient is different.  Sometimes patients desire to be seen by a specialist devoted to a particular field or scope in dentistry. At other times, a patient may need the services of other healthcare specialists beyond dentistry.

The head and body are thankfully connected. Dr. Woodruff views each patient as a whole person. Please let our team know and understand all of your healthcare needs. We are a dental practice; yes, we often work with other doctors to address related treatment goals and needs. Yes, they do send patients to us, too.

Do I need dental insurance to be treated?

Dental insurance is not the same as medical insurance. Dental insurance plans typically share the costs of dental care with the patient, and it is an agreement between the patient and the insurance company.

Do I have to submit my own insurance claims?

As a courtesy, we will submit a claim for the patient for the services we have provided. We have been doing this for all of our patients for more than 15 years.

When will I need to pay for treatment?

We ask that all patients provide payment when treatment is provided. If a treatment plan is reconstructive or will involve multiple appointments, we will expect payment prior to beginning the reconstructive process.

If a patient desires financing for treatment, we ask that it be arranged prior to scheduling for the agreed treatment. The practice works with several financing companies that specialize in funding health-related services.

Why can’t the practice finance my treatment?

The practice has real costs associated with all the treatments we provide. These costs include employee wages, materials, and operating expenses, which prohibit us from being a lending institution.

We focus on providing desired individualized care. When a patient wishes to finance treatment, we have references for various lending institutions focused on the healthcare industry.
